Treating Dog Allergies with Organic Dog Foods

July 9, 2010

Have you considered dog allergy treatments that include feeding your canine friend organic dog food?

You just might be able to help your dog beat their allergic reactions and bring them to a healthier place by feeding them pure and healthy organic dog food! At the very least you will improve their condition!

Dogs Who Have Allergies are Happier When Eating Organic Dog Food

The dog food business is easily a zillion dollar industry in the United States. It’s big business! Do you think that all the companies selling dog food are concenred with the health of your canine friend and their allergic conditions?

Not so! They want to make money and some of these sleazy companies have struck gold on a biz based on by finding garbage and packaging it as dog food.

A lot of the food that is fed to dogs is NOT “human grade”. This makes it especially difficult for treating dog allergies as the food is part of the problem.

Do you think that non human grade food means they are simply giving scraps from the table from wholesome meals like we are eating?

Sorry to bum you out but the fact is – NOT HUMAN GRADE should be more accurately referred to as JUNK and even POISONOUS TOXIC rotting garbage.

It’s filled with bacteria and mycotoxins and chemicals and hormones and antibiotics and all kinds of stuff that if  we only knew where there – we’d freak out and go nuts!

Well get ready to freak out and go CRAZY my dog loving friends because they’re giving us garbage and I assure you that many of our dogs health problems including dog allergy issues are because of the diet and health risks from that garbage food.

Hey – I know this stuff is everywhere! Us humans need to be careful too – but they know we don’t inspect the cans and bags of toxic stew that we buy from them. They know most people don’t want to know the ingredients or consider that the food may be harmful instead of nutritious.

Take somthing as simple as CORN.

Corn has adverse health effects on humans – do you think it may be harmful for dogs too?

Corn and grain are notorious for being loaded with fungus and mycotoxins and such. Ask anyone who has ever seen a silo with corn or grain – they’ll tell you a lot of it is contaimminated.

They put it oin human food too but they take the “not safe for humans” stuff and throw it away – right??? Uhhh… wanna guess where it ends up?

Dog food traditionally is loaded with contaiminated and leached and wahsed out stuff that almost isn’t properly identified as FOOD by the time they get done with it.

But you can’t wash out the mycotoxins. You can’t cook it out.

It gets in our dogs and it fuels the issues they already have from eating poor diets.

Their good bacteria is likely long gone or runing on empty and along comes the fungus and yeast and mycotoxins and kaboom! Our pets require treatments for allergic conditions!

Sure – go get some pills – that might help – but consider the food we give our dogs. It may be making the situation worse!

if you are looking for a treatment for dog allergies – I say start with the food.

Find some good organic food to start.

Then start paying attention to ingredients.

Stay away from corn and grains in your dogs food. It’s not natural for thm to eat corn. It’s not natural for cows to eat it eaither. That’s why us humans are getting so sick. It’s a vicious cycle of passing along the contamination.

Consider what ingredients the food on your local dog food might include: road kill, horses, other dogs and small animals, ground up bones and throw aways from human meat packaging and more.

Many have even turned to feeding “Fido” organic dog food, often available only at specialized shops or over the Internet. Nevertheless, organic dog food is big business and many dog owners swear by it.

Believe it or not, manufacturers can get certain types of their dog food certified by certifying bodies as being Certified Organic. There are organic dog foods containing organic beef, organic chicken and purely organically-grown grains, often supplemented with vegetable extracts that are all organic, as well as vitamins and minerals. The cost is higher than for regular dog food; however, many dog owners will gladly pay the extra price.

A typical organic dog food begins with beef that has been produced using strict organic guidelines, including that the cattle be raised without exposure to synthetic fertilizers, growth hormones, antibiotics or other chemical substances. The cattle must graze on organically-created pastures with a diet producing the leanest beef possible and beef that is high in omega 3 and omega 6 oils, linoleic acid, vitamin E and beta carotenes.

Organic dog food is more likely to be healthy and safe for your dog. It may be worth the extra cost to buy organic dog food.

Your dog will eat the food and it will probably have a large impact on his or her overall health and help with the treatment of the dog allergy problem.

For optimal sources of fiber, organic dog food adds organic vegetables in ways that maintain their high vitamin levels. Some vegetables in organic dog food include carrots, red beets and broccoli. Herbs that provide an antioxidant effect include organic thyme, oregano and rosemary, all of which have healthful properties in dogs.

Because dogs need essential fatty acids, organic dog food provides organic sources of linoleic acid and linolenic acids and this is perfect for treating dog allergies. These essential fatty acids are important in handling lipid soluble vitamins like vitamins A, D, E and K; in addition, they help metabolize cholesterol in the pet. Organic sources of these fatty acids include cold-processed canola oil, sunflower oil and organic vegetables and seeds. Organic flax oil contains omega 3 fatty acids for a shiny skin and coat.

One of the least recognizable types of fatty acids in organic food is the omega 9 fatty acid category, which consists of stearic and oleic acids. These help stabilize the flavor, texture and aroma of dog food and are derived from cold-pressed sunflower oil.

Cold processing makes this oil a good antioxidant for dogs.

Some estimates say that up to 20 percent of all dogs suffer from some type of allergy and its believed that food sensitivity accounts for a third of all allergies. Organic dog food, because it complies with strict food safety and production methods, is believed to be hypoallergenic to dogs. Some dog food companies routinely test their products for allergens and, because they carefully trace their ingredients, there is a decreased chance of dog food allergens.

Most organic dog food avoids being allergenic by keeping common allergens, including cord, soybeans, wheat, meat by-products, milk by-products, artificial flavors, chemical preservatives and artificial colorants, out of the product. As a preservative, many manufacturers use bee propolis to preserve the product; this is a naturally occurring substance that is low in allergenic potential.
