Natural Dog Skin Allergy Treatment Provides Relief
June 4, 2010
I finally got a dog skin allergy treatment tip from a stranger walking their dog who saw my dog’s inflamed bald spots where he chewed off the hair and made his skin all blistery. The kind stranger said – you’re not going to believe it, but my dog used to have skin problems until I started giving him fish oil capsules.
That made so much sense! I’ve since gone on to research fish oil and Omega 3 Fatty Acids and firmly believe it is a miracle cure for dogs and people too!
I now take it myself every day!
But is the dog skin allergy really going to improve from treatment using fish oil???
I can’t say what will happen to your pet – but I do know my dog had less of those hot spot flareups after I started including fish oil supplements regularly in addition to his standard diet. It wasn’t the end of his skin probelms, but then again I never did mega doses of it.
The stranger said he would give the oil to his dog several times of day and that at the peak his dog actually smelled fishy. I never got that far myself!
If you can afford it – consider trying it out yourself. Although be aware that the cheapest fish oil may have heavy metals and pollutants. The more expensive fish oils from Norway and Denmark claim to use distillation processes that remove the impurities.
If you find this as a potential dog skin allergy treatment idea for you pet – I suggest you do a little more research. Fish oil is very well documented and you can find a ton of info just by doing a search on the web!
I suggest you look at this article from Dr. Andrew Weil on skin treatment dog fish oil – it just may make you a believer!
