It may seem crazy but dog dandruff is a dog skin problem many pet owners are experiencing.

Dog dandruff causes may not be fully understood, but we do have treatements for really bad situations. If the dog skin is itching and dog dandriff shampoo has not fully overcome the problem you may need to visit your vet.

Usually the dandruff treatments include a type of anti-fungal shampoo. After all that is usually part of the problem. Did you know that humans too solve dandruff with anti fungal shampoos like Head and SHoulders? That’s an anti-fungal!

Dog Safety Tips for Summer Heat

The last thing you want is for your dog to get heatstroke!

It should be a concern at the top of your list as it heats up and gets into Summer to keep your pet cool and safe and away from extreme heat.

Regardless of where you live, there is a good chance it gets hot enough that your pet could end up with heatstroke or even die from something a simple as leaving them without proper ventilation and fresh water. Environmental conditions can contribute negatively to your dogs health.

You’d think we all know about not leaving our dogs in the car while we go shopping or run errands, but I regularly see news stories about dogs freaking out and police busting the windows to sae the pets. The owners often get cited and are given a ticket or even worse.

The thing is these are only the cases that get noticed. How often do you see a dog ina  car that is panting and is enduring high temps? I see it all the time. A car heats up so fast in such a short time to extreme temperatures that you could really be causing harm to your pet and not even realize it.

Just try to sit in the car yourself for 15 or 20 minutes with the window barely cracked like most people do. It’s not so comfortable, is it?

Don’t put your dogs through this ordeal. Keep your pets cool! Don’t leave them unattended in cars unless you they are in you view atr all times.

Be sure to provide shelter from the sun and fresh water if you leave your dogs outside during the Summer.

There is a lot of information out there on heatstroke for dogs. I sugegst you do a little research!

I know how hard it may be to identify the triggers that cause allergic reactions – but the more I think about it – the more I am considering that the junk we get exposed to in the ocean, harbors, lakes and everywhere can have a detrimental impact.
